The unfortunate truth is, there is no hole in the FTA, the problems experienced are not related to the FTA, the problems experienced are a direct result of leaving the Single Market and Customs Union. Even a completely renegotiated FTA would not remove most of the issues, the act of leaving merely puts us on the same footing as any other third country.
